VIP VISITS

A lot of dignitaries have visited and are visiting this institution from time to time such as :-

  1. H.E. Anshuman Singhji , ex-Governor of Rajasthan visited in a function and donated ₹10,000/- for the welfare of the Blind persons. He gave lunches to the Blind students of the School several times at Raj Bhawan.
  2. Hon’ble Shri Ashok Gehlotji ,Chief Minister of Rajasthan visited RNKS twice
    1. Once for inauguration of All Rajasthan Blind School Sports meet;
    2. On his second visit he donated ₹ 5 lacs for the purchase of Braille Printer in 2000 (the beginning of Braille Printing);
    3. On the third occasion he inaugurated the UNICEF book on Child Rights published by RNKS. He has a great praise for RNKS’s progress which he has expressed several times.
  3. Late Hon’ble Chandan Malji Baid, Ex-Finance Minister, Govt. of Rajasthan, inaugurated Blind Girls’ students section constructed in the memory of his father and mother.
  4. Hon’ble Master Shri Bhanwar Lalji, Education Minister, Govt. of Rajasthan in his previous ministerial tenure, visited Sports meet along with the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
  5. Hon’ble Shri Banwari Lalji Bairwa, at that time Minister for Social Welfare Department, inaugurated the Braille Press section.
  6. Hon’ble Late Shri Girdhari Lalji Bhargava, Member of Parliament from Jaipur looking & appreciating the progress of the Institution donated Rs.5 lacs for Girls School’s portion.
  7. Hon’ble Shri Brij Kishoreji Sharma , Minister for Transport, Govt. of Rajasthan looking to the progress and appreciating the efforts for betterment of institution announced donation of Rs.10 lacs out of which Rs.6.50 lacs have been received and rest Rs.3.50 lacs is due for this year. It is for extension of RNKS building.
  8. Most of the Commissioners of Social Welfare Department, Govt. of Rajasthan have visited this institution and had a great praise for the progress e.g. S/shri S.C. Derashreeji, Alokji, Khilimalji Jain & R. Venkteshwarji.
  9. Principal Secretary & Commissioner for Disabled Mrs. Aditiji Mehta visited as Presiding officer on the eve of Luis Braille Day function and praised the working of the Institution.
  10. The Chairman of Foundation Lions Workgoup against Blindness and Project Officer of Wild Ganzen of the Netherlands normally on every Jaipur visit comes to RNKS, appreciates the progress and until this time their major donations amounts for several projects like Braille Press, Public Library , Furniture, Fax Machine, Digital Recording Studio and Braille Papers (continuing).
  11. Representatives of Amway Opportunity Foundation are visiting the Institution from time to time and are helping from last three years for Computer Training to Blind, Celebration of White Cane Day, Luis Braille Day and many other functions.
  12. Hon’ble Shri Parmesh Chandra, Addl. Chief Secretary, Govt. of Rajasthan visited in a function and helped in Govt. donations to the Institution.
  13. Hon’ble Shri Kuldeep Ranka, Collector,Jaipur visited the institution and flagged of the project of Mobile Library viz. project at the door step of blinds.
  14. The Republic Day is celebrated by Rotary Club JaipurCentral with the blind students of this Institution every year.
  15. Rotary Governor Rt. Nirmal Singhvi also visited RNKS and assured all help from Rotary Foundation.
  16. Besides every year celebration of Independence Day by Lions Club Jaipur Rajdhani. Several Lions Governors visit RNKS and assured help from Lions International.
  17. H.E. Hon’ble Anshuman Singhji,the then Governor of Rajasthan looking to the excellent progress of the Institution awarded the best service award in Handicapped welfare to its Hon. Secretary Shri B.L. Baid.
  18. Shri Sameer Baruah, Chief Regional Manager, Indian Overseas Bank visited in a function and donated Rs.50,000/- for development of Handloom, Chair re-canning and Candle making.
  19. Punjab National Bank donated for one A.C
  20. Rajasthan Bank(now merged with ICICI Bank Ltd.) donated Braille Papers for two years.
  21. Hon’ble Shri Mahendra Surana, IAS(Retd.),and at present our Patron is helping all-round for betterment of the Institution.
